Minor: Head Model Progress 8

I've sculpted a bit more and added in some eyelashes. I think I'm pretty much there with the head now. Time for the body!

Minor: Head Model Progress 7

I have started adding details such as the ear and eyebrows.

I've just added some lamberts to the model to get a better idea of how closely it resembles my character. It's definitely getting there and I think the eyelashes will make a big difference!

Minor: Head Model Progress 6

I have been making some progress with my head model. I think that some of the things that have been bothering me about it have been solved by reorganising the geometry and moving away from copying the drawing exactly. This has definitely been the case for the nose and the back of the head going into the neck. I've shown some of the progress and the changes I've made below.

At this point I decided that the neck/jaw wasn't working and I needed to change some things around.

I made some changes to the geometry and moved the neck into a different position. I'm much happier with this. I've also done some general cleaning up and sculpting around the mouth and brow.

The next steps are:

Build the inside of the nostrils

Build the throat

Create ears

Create detailed eyes

Minor Project: Head Model Progress 5

I've started on the nose, but when following my orthograph I found that the result was not at all what I wanted for the character. I have been changing things around and feel I have gotten a bit closer now, I will move the nostrils into a better position and then keep working on it.

I have now added more detail around the mouth and the eyes.

Minor Project: Head Model Progress 2

An update on my head model. I'm going to clean this up a bit, particularly around the back of the head, before I move on to the next step. I think that I will end up bringing the neck up into the back of the head more than I have drawn in my orthographs, so I will keep that in mind when modelling.

Minor Project: Head Model Progress

I have made a start on modelling my character - here is my progress in blocking out the head.
